Is a virtual environment secure?
Security in a traditional environment requires many approaches, (usernames, passwords etc) but ultimately centres on making sure your server cupboard is locked!
If you do however suffer a break-in and any one of your servers are stolen, vital info could be at risk.
Virtualised environments on the other hand are typically made up of various components including multiple processing servers, and centralised storage. The would-be thief would have to remove all components for them to be of any use and this is generally a more difficult task.
Additionally to access the virtual machines themselves requires an extra authentication step to get through.
